I was impressed by this item. For what I paid (with a 75%ish off sale), it's great. The stone is beautiful and the wrapping is nice. It's not identical to the picture which tells me that it's not totally mass produced. But, this isn't the same quality as something you would get from a local artisan. The "wire" is much thicker and it is generally more robust feeling. The stone was glued in, but it easily became unglued when my partner (who it is a gift for) was making a small modification because the end of the wires were sharp and he didn't want either his clothes or his skin to be damaged. He should be able to reglue it, but it's not like he was doing anything vigorous, and without being glued in the stone could work its way out (plus moving around inside the setting is annoying). It is a HUGE piece - definitely a statement!
